Kiama U8 Orange v Shellharbour
Kiama U8 Orange proved a formidable force against Shellharbour in a fiery match. Max Jennings made several incisive runs up the wing and in defence, the reliable Sam “The Boot” Aubin and feisty Jordan Ciaverella, cleared every ball. Jay Papesch-Ward played a great game slicing through the opposition while Annie Schweitzer was unrelentingly aggressive in attack. Putting her body on the line, Josie Robinson played a heroic game, aided by Tom Brennan’s fancy footwork and skillful tackling. Sorely missed were Mackenzie Weare & Jennifer Klepczarek.

Under 8 Blue –Match Report v Shellharbour Blue – Saturday May 29th, 2010-05-30
The Kiama Under 8 Blue team perhaps put in one of the best performances of the year against Shellharbour at Barrack Heights Field last Saturday.
Everyone in the team played to near the best of their ability and it is obvious that the training sessions held by Coach Gideon Cowan, are certainly benefiting the players as their skill level is increasing, which is leading to improving performances.
Wil Da-Ibarra was at his barnstorming best, both in attack and defence. Rory Doyle played a great game in goal in the first half and was unlucky to be called offside in the second half, which stopped him from scoring his first goal of the season.
Lydia Kaye was everywhere in the first half and stopped a certain goal in the second half as Goalkeeper.
Kipp Mansell was at his brilliant best in defence and his long clearing kicks helped set up some great scoring opportunities.
Alli Nicholl had her best game of the year and had some great runs at goal.
Her brother Riley Nicholl scored 3 goals and crossed in some penetrating corners.
Tom Prosser played his best game of the year and scored his first goal.
Jayden Wilshire continues to be a fantastic defender whose cover tackles help the team stop many opposing teams scoring opportunities.
Kiama U13.1 Girls v Oak Flats
THE Kiama Under-13 girls team continued to impress with another great win under lights in The Quarry last Friday, beating Oak Flats 4-0.
The girls were pumped up and ready for action, taking to Friday night floodlit football like seasoned campaigners.
In front of a big crowd, the back four of Sharna Dobson, Georgie (Spud) Alexander, Ashleigh Campton and Georgia Harrison, held firm to keep another clean sheet, while keeper, Amy Hudson, covered everything that came her way.
From this cornerstone of defence, Kiama's midfield were able to dominate the game and feed the forwards well, with left winger, Jessica Davis putting in a Player of the Match performance highlighted by the first goal after 15 mins. Midfielders Chloe Cafe and Chelsea Ford, both had outstanding games in the engine room, and both managed to get on the scoresheet, with Ford scoring twice and Cafe netting Kiama's fourth goal of the night.
The Wishart girls, Kelsey and Riley, were paramount to the team performance in its win, having asked to play in varying roles which they did extremely well. Erin Dobson was a brick at the back yet again, while Rachel Roley, Seychelle Albert and Claire Farquhar ran the Oak Flats defence ragged when given the ball. It was however, a great team performance on the night.
Kiama U14.4 v Albion Park
Kiama played Albion Park. The game started at a frantic pace with Albion Park scoring first. Kiama came back quickly and with great lead up work from Angus and Georgia putting the ball through where it found Jamie to level the scores. The game was locked at 1 all with the defenders Luke and Jacob keeping Albion Park out. 2nd half began well with Cameron and Jeremy in the middle supplying the ball to Brodie at the front. Although the score was 3 to 1 down it didn't reflect the effort the players made.
