U16.1 Girls v Woonona

On Friday Night the U16 girls went down 1-0 to last year's first grade winners Woonona. Strikers Ally, Georgia and Kristen managed to break through the oppositions defence on numerous occasions. The midfield of Alana, Kate, Sarah, Lawren and Monique controlled the game exceptionally. The defensive team of Rach, Laura, Emily, Aiden and Angela in goal proved to be close to impenetrable. All girls played fantastic with the player of the match going to Lauren for her excellent defensive play.
 Kiama u13.1 Girls v Woonona

KIAMA U-13 Girls Division One team put up a sterling effort to come back from a goal down to win 2-1 last Sunday.

With only eleven players and then losing its captain to a corked thigh, Kiama went a goal down in the first half.

With their backs against the wall and with Woonona making full use of the numerical advantage, Kiama dug deep and scored after 5 mins from the restart through Claire Farquhar, put through by Chloe cafe in midfield to equalise.

Three minutes later player of the match, Chelsea Ford, latched onto a screamer from 20 yards out to give Kiama a deserved lead.

With legs tiring all over the park, Woonona came back strong at the Kiama defence, but once again admirably lead by Sharna Dobson and Kelsey Wishart the team held out for a famous win against all odds.
