U8 GOLD

A warm Saturday morning saw the Kiama Under 8 Gold team take on what proved to be a very good Coniston side at the Kiama Quarry.
The first half saw both sides playing some bright attacking football with the action see-sawing from one end of the park to the other. Some great tackling and defensive work from the Kiama team saw halftime come around with the game evenly poised.
The heat of the morning was to take its toll on the Kiama side in the second half however. The very slick Coniston side sprung into gear putting pressure on the Kiama defence. Congratulations to Dylan Haig who worked hard in goals making a number of great saves. Also special mention to Kayla Duncan who was not only the Kiama player of the match, but set up a great goal with her pace and ball control.
In all, a very entertaining game of football.

Kiama U/6 White played Kiama U/6 Orange showing off their teamwork and ball skills. The match could not be stopped by the ball going out of play, and more than once times spilled over onto adjacent fields. Jye Sanderson showcased his long distance free kick abilities. Smith Mowbray and Byron Teudt combined up front, while Jett Tory and Patrick in het Panhuis were solid in defence. Everybody demonstrated excellent skills and had a lot of fun playing
