Kiama U8 Black v Port Kembla Grey

A great game from all the boys, with some lovely passes and team work showing that the hard work at training is paying off. Goalies Aidan Kelly and William Bedford were rock solid, Thomas Witheridge and Kyal Mate-Friz were very impressive in defence and attack, and Jackson Anthony, Jonah Anderson and Chae Conti worked hard to create goal opportunities. Thanks to Dylan Haig for helping out Port Kembla and playing a great game for them.

Kiama under 10 b's hit the road again with an away game at Oak Flats against Oak Flats. It was a physical challenge throughout the entire game and neither side stopped giving 100% right to the end. Solid striking from Adric Forbes-Brown (four goals), Nathan Duncan, Benon Harris and Jack Farrugia provided a consistent run of goals allowing Kiama to take away a 7 - 0 victory. The entire team contributed to the victory. Goal keeping was faultless with Benon Harris and Tom McGinty sharing the duties. A stark improvement between first and second half saw Jackson Williams take home the coaches certificate for the game.

Kiama Under 11`s Match Report

KIAMA UNDER 11’s played Balgownie at Kiama in a game of two distinct halves on Saturday 17 April.
The first half went Balgownie’s way from the start with a goal in the 4th minute. Despite valiant defence by Kyle Jelliffe, Dean Heffernan and Brett Wall, Balgownie were able to post another 2 goals in the half. Attacking raids by Callum Rogers, Joshua Gomes, Jordon Kirk and Trent Bishop were successfully defended by Balgownie leaving Kiama 3 – 0 down at half time.
To the teams credit, they came out with vigour and put on a much stronger performance in the second half. Jake Cleal-Cook made numerous saves in goal aided by good defensive work from Benjamin Healey and Ben Falconer at the back. The attack was also much stronger. The highlight was a great team move starting with Darcy Crook in his own half, taking the ball down the right wing before passing to Che Stubbs, who continued down the right side before crossing to Oliver Dowsell in front of the goal, who sent the ball towards the net, only to have it stopped in the last metre by the Balgownie Goalkeeper. Later in the half, Joshua Spain also had an on target long shot stopped by the goalie.
A nil all 2nd half to last years premiers was a credit to the team.
