Kiama U7 Blue v Oak Flats White
Kiama Under 7 Blue played Oak Flats White, in a fast-paced game. The boys played hard and fair and kept trying the whole game. While Albion Park worked a great passing game, importantly the Blues kept playing together as a team, helping and encouraging one another. Great defence from Tully Yates and Ronin Murray; Callum Cunningham and Phoenix Thurgar kept plugging away in mid-field; and Jake Parker tackled well. Man-of-the-match, Lachlan Davidson, defended and attacked well, and fittingly scored our goal. Thanks fellas, for a great effort, and all the parents too, supporting the boys well from the sideline.
Kiama U7 Green v Oak Flats Black
The Kiama U7 Green side played Oak Flats on Saturday. The Kiama team showed determination which saw Brodey Jelliffe and Damon Bishop both find the net on a number of occasions. Harry Creighton had a terrific game and was unlucky not to score from some great shots. Ryan Jones put in a fine effort, putting some nice passes through to his team mates. Zen Del Solar and Joel Spain were able to stop numerous attacks which looked certain to be goals. All the boys have showed great improvement this year and should be proud of their efforts over the last few weeks.
Kiama U6 Orange v Kiama Blue
Saturday saw a home game against our friendly Kiama Orange team. The kids had a great game with lots of fun had by all. Ryan Brennan had a great game and keeps improving week by week. Kye Robinson continued to show off his exceptional defence skills, Elliott Simpson continued his eager attack play, and Deakin Davidson provided the striker action with 3 goals. Well done team.
Kiama U9 Red v Coniston
U9 Reds had a big weekend of football playing a great game with arch rivals Coniston Gold on Saturday then backing up for four games at the Warilla Gala Day. On Saturday Giles Robinson kept well in goal and was voted man of the match by parents and players. Trent Allchin, Jake Richards, Blake Rodgers and Tom McHugh were
solid in defence and set the base for the rest of the team. Midfielders Max Bullen, Ethan Case, Cam Kirk coordinated by Noah Casolin controlled the middle and fed great balls through to Harvey Austin, Tyler Haig & Zak Kennedy to challenge up front. Overall a close game and a great win. Sunday saw 4 fabulous games
With 3 wins and a very close defeat that could have gone either way. Thanks to Chase Allchin and Dylan Haig who played up into the U9’s and held their own.
Kiama U7 White v Albion Park Green
Under 7 Whites played one of their best games against Albion Park at home on Saturday. All players were on top form with some solid tackling and big kicking from Cohen Simpson. Blair Turner was solid in defence and displayed some impressive skills and scored a goal. Brothers Mark and Andrew Bezzina scored a number of goals whilst demonstrating some skilful footwork and some passing between them. Grace Somerville as ever was determined in attack and just missed an opportunity for a goal while Matty Moss played a great defensive and attacking game. A great game, well done boys.
