Nicholas Robinson and Cameron Telford played down the wings and picked up kicks at will and kepted the game flowing. Bailey Drummond defended strongly all day and stopped some certain Shellharbour goals, then drove the ball forward to the likes of Randle and Moran.Recruit of the year Levi Randle carved up the opposition with some great pull turns and caused havoc all day. A great team effort

Kiama U6 White v Albion Park Blue

Kiama U/6 white faced off against Albion Park Blue in a match full of excitement. The Albion Park boys were quick on their feet and showed great skill at passing the ball. Jye Sanderson, used his now famous long-distance-free-kick style to propel the ball forward, where Jett Tory passed to Smith Mowbray to drive the ball towards the Albion Park half. Patrick in het Panhuis did some great passing to Byron Teudt to make several brilliant breaks through the Albion Park defence. Both teams had great fun and left the field smiling from ear to ear.

Kiama U7 Black v Shellharbour orange

Kiama 7 Blacks played Shellharbour Orange in a fun and evenly contested game.

Joel Cooney impressed with 2 goals and Mathew Cordell also scored. Harrison Booth and Brandon Gabriele had a rest from goal scoring this week to defend our goal with hard running and tackling.

Gabrielle Merinuk scored another goal today and with Grace Kearns scoring a goal from half way last week the girls are in great form.

Thanks also to the biggest kid Tim Cooney whose relaxed approach ensured all players had a good time.

  Kiama U12 v Bulli

The 12A's found their form again with a strong display of possession defeating Bulli 4 to 1.  For the strikers Alex Pappas bagged a hat-trick, Joel Young scored and Nicholas Poelczer played well. Midfielders Jordan Warren, Louis Parsons-O'Malley, Sam Glazier, Liam Flanagan and Callum Edwards all had great games providing great service to the attack.  Defensiively we concentrated for most of the game with Daniel Hines, Jacob Mierendorff, Sam Mierendorff and Kade Mace ably supporting the team by breaking down the opposition attack with Jack Markham solid in goals.  Good to see a team maintain possession and play football.

 Kiama U13.1 Girls v Woonona

Kiama Under-13 Girls came away from Ocean Park with a great 3-1 win over Woonona in this highly entertaining Division One encounter last Sunday.

Against a cold blustery wind, Kiama came closest in the first half to breaking the deadlock when Chloe Cafe saw her tremendous shot rattle the bar from 20m.

But it was all to play for in the second period as the teams went in at the interval tied goalless. Kiama’s defence of Ashleigh Campton, Sharna Dobson, Georgia Harrison and Georgie Alexander not giving much away in terms of chances.

In the second half, Kiama hit the front from a looping Kelsey Wishart effort from 12m, but the lead was short-lived, when a quick Woonona break caught the defence napping to equalise.

Midway through the half, Woonona were awarded a penalty for an infringement in the area, but the shot was expertly saved with a great dive to her right by Amy Hudson, pushing the shot away for a corner to keep the scores level at 1-1.

Inspired by this moment, Kiama broke away and player of the match, Kelsey Wishart, was on hand to prod the ball home from a well-worked move involving Chelsea Ford and Seychelle Albert. Almost from the restart, Claire Farquhar followed up a Riley Wishart shot from the edge of the area to kill off the game and make sure of the three points with a well taken goal.

It was a determined team performance in a typical top-of-the-table physical clash, with the three points strongly  aiding the girl’s chances of a second premiership title in succession.
