2010 Committee

Welcome to the Kiama Junior Football Club (Kiama Komets) 2010 season.  We hope that you will enjoy being part of a great club catering for boys and girls of all ages and abilities.  Whether you have been associated with us before or are new to the club, the 2010 Committee will endeavour to make this season as enjoyable as possible.

President

·       chair General Meetings

·       overview larger club projects and major events
·       attend association meetings
·       end of season report for AGM
·       countersign cheques                    
 
·       co-ordination of major events such as Registration day, Evening Spectacular, Under 10s gala day & Presentation Day (more detailed list of requirements for each event available) in conjunction with Assistant Secretary.
·       attendassociation meetings
·       attend Kiama Sports council bi-monthly meetings
·       attend KJSC General meetings      
 
·       handle correspondence in & out (including Association emails)
·       attend Association meetings (with President)
·       update Club Info line
·       update club news on website
·       book Kiama Leagues for meetings, registration days
·       roster ground marshals
·       advertise registration, presentation day and AGM dates in school newsletters
·       liaise with Council re ground availability
·       countersign cheques
·       attend KJSC General meetings
·       end of season report for AGM   
 
·       manage income (eg rego fees, sponsorships, ticket sales) and expenditure (eg association fees, referees payments etc)
·       prepare annual budget
·       prepare monthly bank reconciliations and statements
·       complete fair trading return

·       co-ordination of major events such as Registration day, Evening Spectacular, Under 10s gala day & Presentation Day (more detailed list of requirements for each event available) in conjunction with vice President.
·       dissemination of other clubs’ gala days information (including co-ordination of responses)
·       attend KJSC General meetings
·       recording minutes of meetings and circulate to committee for sign off
·       end of season report for AGM
 
·       registration of graded players (including compilation of player and team lists for Association, noticeboard, coaches, compile and maintain list for KJSC spreadsheet, compile data as required for KJSC and IJFC).
·       Assist Grading Committee on Grading Days (compile age lists, name labels, receive and direct players).
·       Registration cards (includes new cards, upgrading current cards, ensuring cards stamped by IJSA, organise cards into appropriate teams books).
·       Organisation of team nomination lists and team nomination letters
·       Presentation day trophies for graded players and perpetual trophy winners (send lists for spell check to coaches, , purchase, engraving)
·       10 year service awards
·       attend KJSC General meetings
·       end of season report for AGM    
 
·       registration of Rooball players (including compilation of player and team lists for Association, newspaper, coaches, compile and maintain list for KJSC spreadsheet, compile data as required for KJSC and IJFA)
·       Registration cards (includes new cards, upgrading current cards, ensuring cards stamped by IJSC, organise cards into appropriate teams books).

·       understand codes of conduct for parents, players, coaches and officials
·       understand clubs disciplinary procedures and penalties
·       be skilled and confident at resolving conflict and dealing with difficult people
·       convene judiciary to investigate allegations regarding player, coach or parent misconduct, and to determine appropriate consequences
·       attend KJSC General meetings

·       provide advice to players, parents, coaches and committee on all child protection matters
·       issue and collection of Working with Children forms to/from coaches & manager & committee
·       deals with any issue of alleged breaches of the code

·       issue & return of shirts, balls, bibs, portable goals, coaching books, other equipment
·       prepare funding applications for equipment and coaching resources
·       purchase and distribute replacement equipment throughout the year as required

·       manage sponsors & sponsorship packages (club & team)
·       update sponsor packages on web site
·       arrange club shirts for coaches and other promotional clothing (eg caps)

·       encourage junior players aged 13 and above to attend referee’s courses

·       account for takings including accounting for wages, referee’s and purchases
·       surplus takings to treasurer for banking
·       ensure appropriate levels of hygene and cleaning are maintained

Ground Marshal X 4 (Saturday x 2 & Sunday x 2)
·       understand codes of conduct for parents, players, coaches and officials
·       co-ordinate volunteer ground marshals
·       complete team sheet checks
·       understand and apply processes for dealing with sport rage or disputes incidents
·       support and uphold the principles of fair play
·       use a formal incident recording and reporting process when required.
